A small independent project born from a simple frustration: Italian tax calculations shouldn't require a degree in accountancy.

Why we built this

It started with a question that seems simple but never has a simple answer in Italy: how much do I actually take home?

Whether you are a new employee trying to understand your first payslip, someone negotiating a raise and wanting to know what the real difference is, or a freelancer wondering if opening a VAT number makes financial sense — the answer is always buried somewhere between INPS circulars, TUIR articles, and calculators that show you a number without explaining how they got there.

We wanted something different: a tool that does the maths correctly, shows you every single step, and never asks you to create an account or accept cookies to use it.

Calculations happen in your browser. No data you enter is ever sent to us or to third-party servers. No registration, no profile.

Kept up to date

Italian tax law changes every year with the Budget Law. We update all calculators every January — IRPEF brackets, INPS rates, deductions, regional surtaxes. Every calculator shows a badge with the update date and the specific regulatory source used.

What we are not

ContoFiscale.it is not a substitute for a qualified accountant or tax adviser. Our calculators provide accurate estimates based on official rates, but individual tax situations can be complex — unusual contracts, company benefits, multiple income sources.

For significant tax decisions — opening a VAT number, retirement planning, tax optimisation — always consult a qualified professional.
